Dawg Days of Summer and Decisions!

I went shopping around town with my mom this weekend and it truly wore me out and confused me. There are so many precious things for little girls out there. We went to Storkland in Vestavia Hills and I found 2 furniture sets I liked. They are both convertible and would be with her until college. That is a little overwhelming to think about her using them until she is out of our house. Anyway, here are the 2 collections: http://www.munirefurniture.com/savannah_01.htm

My mom has further confused it by adding a new collection she heard about from a lady in Clay. Here it is:

Anyway, decisions, decisions! We meet with the lady that is going to custom make the bedding next week. That part is very exciting! We also began a registry at Babies R Us and Target.

It's only Tuesday, but living for the weekend. Here is what we have so far on the agenda: Saturday drive to Huntsville, drop Petey off at his cousin and go catch the Dark Knight at the Imax theatre at the Space and Rocket Center. Then we leave there and head to Arab for a 50th anniversary celebration for Don's aunt and uncle. We are spending the night in Albertville Saturday night then heading to church with his parents on Sunday and then back to the Ham.

New Kid on the Block

Hey guys! I decided to give into peer pressure and start a blog. Don and I are about to experience some major changes in our lifestyle and I figure it would be fun to take note of those through a blog.

I am sure everyone that might read this knows that Don and I found out March 18, 2008 that we are pregnant and due November 24th. You might not know this, but the pregnancy was a BIG shocker, but truly a blessing and we are ready for it. We found out July 1st that we are pregnant with a little girl. Everyone had us convinced that I was pregnant with a boy because the way I looked around my 19th week appointment. Well, I can honestly say that things have changed DRASTICALLY since that 19th week appointment. People definitely know that I am pregnant now with my protruding belly and thunder thighs. :) It's the price you pay for a short time. I am trying not to fret over the weight thing but I probably should try to do one form of exercise a day and stay off the donuts. :)

Our current decisions include: baby's name and baby's nursery (furniture & bedding). We have some strong name choices but for some reason I can't just say "that is it". Some people say I will have to see her first. Maybe so, just seems like such an important decision. Anyway , mom and I are hitting up the baby stores this weekend. We hope to register at Babies R Us. I am waiting until Target opens on my end of town (July 27th) to register there. And I am forcing Don to be a part of this! :)

Big changes are coming for our Puppy Petey (toy fox terrier) too. He loves the ladies but he has no idea how this little girl will change his world. Currently he rules the roost but it won't be long until he gets pitched outside at times. He will still be an inside dog but a more mannerly inside dog. :) I love him!

Anyway, our weekend looks like this. Tonight I have the 3rd of 4 obedience classes for Petey. Next week marks the final obedience class and Don and I will be attending that together to see the graduation of our son. :) Saturday I will be running around town with the mother as Don tries out his new PING clubs on the golf course (oh yeah, he is doing that tonight also). Saturday night we have a wedding in Anniston for a college friend of mine. Sunday will be a day full of church and lounging at home. Busy, busy!
