It was a busy, busy weekend. We had friends over Friday night and grilled out. Then Saturday, Don golfed and I went with my friend Keri and her girls garagesaling then we moved on to a 31 Party and Walmart. Don and I met up after that and watched a movie and ordered Cracker Barrell. Then of course Sunday was filled with church services, eating out, and washing cars. It was a busy, yet fun weekend. I loved getting out Saturday morning. I think yard-saling on Saturday mornings is going to become an addiction until I have loaded up on kid items. :) I only spent 50 cents this time though. We did the community one that Russett Woods in Hoover was having. I am probably going to be having my own come June. I have several pieces of furniture that I need to unload. I will try to post some pics on here before I unload so that if any of my friends want them, they can get them.
I bought a sewing machine Saturday. So look forward to future posts about my sewing injuries and projects. Notice I put injuries first. :)
Kate is becoming a very active child. She kicks those legs alot and isn't too much on sitting still. We usually take a walk around the block everyday to keep both her and her older brother (petey) entertained. I am starting to get to know my neighborhood and its inhabitants. :) Only problem is that I come back everyday thinking of all the things we need to change about our yard and the inside of our house by looking at all our neighbors beautifully landscaped yards (which the majority have someone else do). My "To Do" list gets ever so long. I think we will just move and "start right, stay right" with that house. This was our "practice" house. :)
Mom and I are frantically looking for a beach place for her, kate, my aunt julie and me to stay the weekend of May 14-17th. Don and I's 6 year anniverary is May 17th. I really can't believe it. Time truly flies by! I also can't believe Wade has less than 3 months and he will be a married man. My bro is all grown up. :)
Update about his wedding. Kate was invited to be in it with Gretchen's little neice Heidi. They are roughly the same age. I haven't talked to Gretchen yet to find out what is up her sleeve but I have a feeling it might involve a wagon with both girls inside. They will be precious...can't wait! Also, Wade and Gret want me to do a playlist of music for their reception. I think Gret said her and Wade will do one, along with her sister, and her mom's boyfriend. My music will have to represent the South. :)
I think I have rattled enough. This weekend we have little Ella Southern's 3rd birthday party at Pump It Up. Next weekend we are headed to A-ville to visit with the Farmers and Renyers (and Pete's cousins Rocko and Ruby).
