Mood Change Necessary

I haven't posted much lately and thought this stormy Saturday morning might be a great time to document all the things I am thankful for at the moment. I have been in a pretty bad mood lately and that is not like me. I think it is because I haven't really felt good and my little 18 month old requires alot of energy. I love her to pieces and she warms my heart hourly but she is definitely getting into her terrible twos early.

What I am thankful for:

1) A husband/father that works so hard for us. He leaves around 5:45 or 6 every day to drive 45 minutes to work. He normally puts in about an 10 hour day then drives 45 minutes back home. He has been packing his lunch lately to save money and time. He comes home after that long day and takes over responsibility of Kate while I fix dinner or just be lazy. He never complains and is so patient with us. The house has looked like a disaster for quite a while and all he does is encourage. There are not even words to describe a man like this. I know I am hormonal but it brings tears to my eyes to think of the type of person Don is.

2) A healthy child who is SO full of life. She has recently learned freedom with her new walking skills and she smiles from ear to ear with excitement when she is walking around in public. She loves social interaction. I am thankful that she has not experienced any problems from entering this world 7 weeks early.

3) Parents that are there for me. Now that I am a parent I realize the importance of shaping and molding your children while they are young. No punishment for actions creates a spoiled rotten brat.

4) New life.

Okay, that is good for now. I feel better. Maybe my mood will change (goodbye Debbie Downer). :)

Maybe these 2 pictures will help with the one I posted earlier today of Mom with Kate.

If you still don't get it, read Kate's shirt. :)

It says, "BIG SISTER!" We are due November 25th. That's Thanksgiving Day my peeps. We would appreciate prayers that this baby comes very close to that due date where it will not have to spend any time in the NICU.

STRUGGLING

First it was an infection, next came a stomach virus, then I dealt with some other stomach/eating issues for 2 weeks, now I got a big ole fat cold/sinus infection/drainage. Who Knows! So if you count that out, I have had issues for 4 weeks now. I need a break, and a maid, and a nanny, and a wife! Uggghhhh!

I probably won't post anymore until I am better and I promise that post to be a REAL GOOD one. :)

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Momma on Saturday! I will never know how I lucked out so much in getting her as a momma!

Easter Weekend

I want to start this post out explaining what Easter means to me. I believe that Jesus Christ came to the world in human form and lived a perfect life. One without sin. He was crucified on the cross for blasphemy. It was not blasphemying when he revealed that he was the Son of God. Jesus own people deny him. We recognize the day he died on the Cross as Good Friday. But the good news, is that he was raised from the dead three days later. My faith is based on this belief. And that is why we celebrate Easter. Easter is in remembrance of Jesus's resurrection. Because Jesus was raised from the dead and will live forever we have hope of an external life with God.

My Life is OUT OF CONTROL

The past few weeks have been crazy. It is so weird how your life can be completely stable then out of nowhere chaos hits. Let me explain.

Yesterday Don informs me that he has bad news. Don never shows much emotion so I am thinking it can't be that bad. I told him to hit me with it. He then proceeds to tell me that he lost his job. Whoa! I about fell to my knees. Don is a very smart man and I know he will be able to find another job but the problem is that there aren't many ChemE jobs in Alabama so we might be moving. Let's hope he finds something close and SOON!

A few weeks ago after the stomach flu, I wasn't feeling so good. It was this nagging feeling that wouldn't go away. It then hit me what it was (because I have had that feeling before). Don and I found out we are PREGNANT. Not only pregnant, PREGNANT with TWINS! Let the chaos ensue.

So Kate started walking a month ago. I was so proud of her even though she took her sweet little time of 17 months! Well, guess what little girl can do now. Any guesses? Ride a bike! Not only ride a bike but ride a bike without training wheels. I guess those extra few months that she needed getting her balance walking paid off.

Well, since I have been spending alot of time outside with Kate, I noticed that it looked like someone else had been using my water hydrant. So, I started surviellence of my water. Sure enough, crazy next door neighbor has been using our water to water their flower bed. I mean we are talking for 30 minutes to an hour every day. You know I can't stand for that injustice! So I confronted her. She acted like I didn't know what I was talking about! I don't know what came over me (must be the hormones) but I hauled off and slapped her. Then she slapped me back. Next thing you know I had a wad of her hair in my hand and it was no longer attached to her head.

Lets just hope the next few weeks go better.
