Another crazy weekend down. What is up with me planning big events on weekends when it floods? I thought rain was suppose to come in April, not May (6 years ago when I planned an outdoor wedding), and not June (this past weekend for my Garage Sale). Oh well, the sale still went on. We made $195 but $135 was off one person, our neighbor down the street. We thankfully moved 2 big pieces, the computer desk and the entertainment center. Yay! I think I will have to have another Garage Sale in August though because there is lots of good stuff and with the right amount of traffic, we shouldn't have much trouble underloading some stuff. We also sold the bike and are going to give away the weedeaters. Don asked me what I was going to do with the money. I said that we needed a fireplace screen because it won't be long before Kate crawls over there and eats some rock peebles and then I remembered we also need luggage for our Colorado trip. The zipper on our largest Samsonite suitcase somehow got broken (amazing we made it back from NZ with it but in the meantime we are not sure how it broke). So basically (insert sarcasm) lots of fun things to do with the money. :)
Mom came down to help with the garage sale. She is always lots of help and fun to be around. No doubt my mom and my daughter are my 2 best girl friends. I guess that is how it is suppose to be.
After mom left Don and I layed around a little bit and watched an old school Netflix DVD called Brian's Song. It was SO old school but sweet. Somehow we have ended up with quite the eclectic mix on our Netflix que. Don blames it on me and then I blame it on him. The movie really wasn't bad. It was a true story based on 2 Chicago Bear players friendship.
After relaxing, we headed over to some friends house for dinner and conversation. It was lots of fun. Kate decided to have an alltime blow out while she was in her carseat after dinner. It was SO embarrassing! Luckily I had a change of clothes for her and our friends provided us some clorex wipes for the carseat. It definitely doesn't even phase me anymore. Man how things have changed. :0
So Kate woke me up 3 times that night. I felt like she was a newborn again. I am guessing she is teething but it was really exhausting for her and me. We had to sleep in and miss Sunday School that morning but we made it for service in the monsoon.
After church Kate and I headed over to Brookwood Mall to wedding dress shop with my mom and grandmother. None of us had luck there but after we split up, Kate and me went to Saks at the Summitt and I found a green Laundry dress that will do. I am still leaving my options open though.
After pm service at church, Kate, Don and I headed home to wrap-up the weekend.
This week, Don is headed to Pinehurst, NC for golf camp with his golf buddy Heath. They leave Wednesday and come back on Monday. Kate, Petey, and I are headed up to my parents Wednesday. We have a 60th birthday party to go to for my identical twin aunts on Wednesday. Then Friday we are headed to Smith Lake. Fun times for all!
